SPEECH ISSUES

Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health speech

At Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health, our goal is to restore the proper function and coordination of all muscle groups thereby improving speech and articulation in children and teens and avoiding issues including lisps, drooling beyond age 3 and tongue thrusts.

DENTAL ISSUES

Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health dental

Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health wants to recognize any oral myofunctional disorder (OMD) early on so that treatment can be offered and bad oral posture habits won’t cause future speech, sleep or dental problems. Proper balance is needed so that all elements of the mouth, face, tongue, lips and jaw can work together for optimal function.

SLEEP DISORDERS

Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health’s goal is to use myofunctional therapy to target the weak muscles of the tongue and oropharynx. This treatment is designed to strengthen the weak muscles and restore the proper tongue position during sleep as well as an open airway with optimal airflow.

MEET BILL A MYOFUCTIONAL THERAPY SUCCESS STORY

“I was on a c-pap machine for sleep apnea, I wasn’t using it as regularly as I should so after 3 months I had to have an in-lab sleep study performed. During that time I continued to have therapy at Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health that included exercises with my tongue. After they did the in-lab sleep study, about three months later, they found I didn’t have sleep apnea anymore and was not in need of a c-pap machine. The therapy I received at Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health worked. I would recommend Dr. Hall and all of her associates to anyone needing Myofunctional health.” – Bill

YOUR MYOFUNCTIONAL THERAPY TEAM

Meet Linsey

Linsey has a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University in 2006.

Linsey is passionate about myofunctional therapy. She enjoys working with people and helping them understand oral health and how it relates to overall health. As a myofunctional therapist, continuing education courses are vital to bringing the latest treatment protocols and best possible care to our patients.

In her spare time, Linsey enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter and her extended family.

Meet Rachel

Rachel is a Certified Dental Assistant, certified in dental sedation as well as myofunctional therapy.

Rachel joined Williamsburg Center for Myofunctional & Oral Health in 2011 as Dr. Hall’s assistant and has pursued her training in MYO therapy to increase her expertise in the dental field. Rachel is dedicated to helping fix teeth and airway issues as well as creating an environment where people feel well cared for and safe. She loves being able to establish good relationships with her patients and team members. One of her fondest memories is of a myofunctional therapy patient who no longer needed to wear his CPAP after just 13 sessions of therapy.

Outside the office, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She loves watching her son play baseball and her daughter’s acting performances as well as their swim meets. Rachel and her family are very committed to their church where she sings for the praise team and leads the youth praise team. Rachel also spends time with and mentors several teenage girls.

Dr. Stacey Hall – Clinical Director

“With over 17 years of professional dental experience, my passion to help others continued to flourish. I am thrilled to work alongside the incredible Williamsburg community and my expert team of therapists to offer myofunctional therapies to those in need. Seeing the results and improvement in the overall quality of life for our patients is extremely rewarding. I feel truly blessed to be able to help and serve in such a capacity.” – Stacey Sparkman Hall D.D.S.

RESULTS MATTER

“After doing the MYO treatment for 7-8 weeks, my daughter’s tongue is farther back in her mouth and self-corrects. She is sleeping more soundly at night because she is breathing more effectively which in turn has improved her daily behavior due to getting a good night’s sleep.”

MARY-BETH S

“I can’t say enough good about this office. I have only been coming here for four years after I moved to Williamsburg four years ago. Dr. Hall and all of her associates are very professional. I would recommend that anyone come here for their dental needs.”  – Bill
